Naomi Clark started practicing Iyengar and Hatha Yoga in 1998 but it wasn’t until her first Bikram Hot Yoga class a couple of years later that she began to address the knee pain she had suffered after a car accident. Having found a practical way to manage the demands of everyday life whilst restoring physical health, Naomi trained to be a teacher in 2001.

She taught in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jamaica, Ibiza, London, and Brighton before opening the first Bikram Hot Yoga Studio outside of London in 2003.

Bringing Bikram Yoga to Brighton upon Bikram’s request in 2002 and mentoring most of Brighton’s Senior Bikram/Hot yoga teachers brought Naomi much satisfaction and joy, but after 6 years and 10,000 students, she was ready to move on from studio management and pursue new ways of self-enquiry.

Having studied with the BioMedical Trust in 2008, she qualified in Yoga Therapy and the restorative tool of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) inspiring a regular practice and teaching.

She was a Judge for the National Yoga Asana Competition 3 years running and regularly advises new and experienced yoga teachers and current and would-be yoga studio owners alike.

Naomi hosts several yoga retreats a year, and also teaches in a team/corporate environment with varied clients such as American Express and Crystal Palace FC.

Recent projects include the iPhone Application for True Yoga, and Yoga Nidra Podcasts for Relaxation, Productivity and Peak Performance.

Naomi has been taught by Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, Patthabi Jois, Doug Swenson, Richard Miller, Rusty Wells, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Nirlipta Tuli, Dr Robin Munro, Micah Springer and Yogi Master Kumar, and has found personal and professional transformation through work with Landmark Education, and Gestalt method and connects to ‘beingness’ thru satsang with Mooji.

In 2011 Naomi undertook her first 10 day Vipassana silent meditation in the Goenka style and she continues to sit and serve regularly and follow the 5 precepts.

Naomi has a leaning towards a heated free-form dynamic fusion-flow with medicinal pranayama and a chilled out nidra relaxation to express an informative, soulful and light-hearted practice.

Naomi currently teaches at Hot Yoga Society London Bridge & Pop-Up Hot Yoga Studios in Lewes at Lewes Rugby Club & Eastbourne at Studio 13 Cornfield Lane and is also available for private sessions.

Naomi lives in Lewes near Brighton with her son Ruben.
